The Thirteenth Hour:
Exhiliration without Consequences
Team: Cadence Ast, Jackson Kronland Ana Ventura-Cossio
Haunted houses aren’t just an escape from reality, they’re an escape from the rules that govern that reality. We decided to emphasize how, because you know you’re ultimately safe, you can let yourself go without any safety being risked.

This execution is a speed-dating experience where dates are designed to be socially unbearable. The interviewer will pull lucky contestants off the street, sit them down, and give them two signs to hold up that say: STAY or RUN. Then they will be asked a series of questions where each round introduces a new nightmare behavior, such as not holding the door for you, talking way too loud, and checks their phone constantly. The contestant will hold up the corresponding sign with if they would stay on the date or run.
You survived the fear of the speed dating, now time to forget about the rules together at The Thirteenth Hour
Our three magazine ads would be placed in local Bloomington magazines to help us connect to the student population as our target audience. Each ad expands on the theme with additional copy to support it.
We have one ad placed at a bus stop which is widely used by the student population. It is designed to catch your attention and make you want to visit Thirteenth Hour.
